Type O Nickletive #05

How did you come up with your derby name and/or number? (And what do your teammates call you?)

Type O Nickletive because Nickle is my nickname, and a homage to one of my favorite bands, Type O Negative and also blood is pretty awesome (I'm a paramedic student)

What made you decide to try roller derby?

I roller skated when I was a kid and really loved it.  Then my friend Clashtyn from MidState Roller Derby invited me to a beginner skate class and I was hooked!

How long have you been playing roller derby?

I started in 2018, then COVID hit at the beginning of 2020 so that put roller derby on hold.  I finally started skating again this year with Med City and it has been nothing short of amazing!

What's your favorite thing about MedCity Roller Derby?

My Team! We are all supportive of each other and they are really a great bunch of humans that I like to spend 4 hours a week with on rolly shoes.

What position or role do you have within the league?

I am a new recruit

Do you have a game day ritual or routine?

What is your favorite or least favorite drill/skill at practice and why?

I have a love/hate relationship still with the 27/5.

If you could live or visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Visit Tibet and live in Japan!

Probably a raccoon because then I'd be cute and be mischievous and get away with it
