How did you come up with your derby name and/or number? (And what do your teammates call you?)

My initials are MOH and I'm half Hispanic so it's a play on spanglish. I'm also a little spicy. And everyone calls me Mo

What made you decide to try roller derby?

I watched a game while I was in graduate school in Baton Rouge and saw a player do a "can opener" hit. I was hooked after that.

How long have you been playing roller derby?

2 seasons with Red Stick Roller Derby and this is my 7th season with Med City.

What's your favorite thing about MedCity Roller Derby?

My teammates and being surround by medical professionals in case I get injured.

What position or role do you have within the league?

Treasurer, vet skater

What are you most excited about this season?

Training with the new skaters

Do you have a game day ritual or routine?

Not really, HYDRATE, and stretch

What is your favorite or least favorite drill/skill at practice and why?

I love weaving through a paceline, I like to see how fast I can get through. I also really like doing any type of blocking drill.

If you could live or visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Peru

Tenacious, spicy, and playful
