Do you walk through your day viewing life in flat gray lines and dull, subdued, plain-oatmeal mush? We sure don't and are guessing you don't either!

We need someone who sees the world like us, that is, in constant motion, tipped on its side, and in brilliant, vivid colors! We're an eclectic group of people who play the amazing, alternative sport of roller derby, and we need you to join our team. Our creative team, that is. You don't even need to go near a pair of skates.

 

We're looking for someone to design one (or more) of MedCity Mafia Roller Derby’s bout posters for the 2017 season. If you want a chance to show Rochester (and the world...Facebook reaches far!) your talent, being one of our poster artists will give you that opportunity. For each of our games, we hang posters and distribute fliers to roughly 450 different businesses and people. In addition, our Facebook reach rockets as high as 5,000 per post. That's a lot of eyes on your art. Who knows the connections you'll make?

• Posters will be printed at 11 x 17, but they will also be resized for fliers and social media

  • Our logo (email us and we’ll supply it for you)

  • Dates and teams of games (one poster will be chosen for each/rival team isn’t necessary to include but just in case you want more material to work with):

    • Saturday, May 20, 2017 vs S.C.A.R.

    • Saturday, June 24, 2017 vs Fargo Moorhead Derby Girls

  • Time: Doors open at 6. Whistle blows at 7

  • Location: Graham Arena (1570 Fairgrounds Ave SE)

  • Tickets: Adults $10 advance, $12 door; seniors/kids under 12 $7 advance, $8 door; kids under 5 free

By no means should you feel limited by what we or other leagues have done in the past. We're looking for something unique, different, and new.

Our only request is that the design be family friendly. We're proud of our all-inclusive image and can't wait to see how you will help us express that!
