Girl Scouts and roller derby go together like Thin Mints and milk! That’s because Girl Scouts and skaters both live our lives with courage, confidence, and character. On MedCity Mafia Roller Derby Girl Scout Badge Day, we’ll show you how we rock and roll our derby brand of girl power!

 

At this badge event, skaters will show you why we love the exhilarating, electrifying sport of roller derby and how to play it. We’ll run you through some actual drills we use to train (off skates for Girl Scouts, though). And then you’ll watch us put that practice into play; you’ll get to stay and cheer us on as we skate in an actual bout! This event supports three different athletic-themed badges: Juniors will earn their Practice With Purpose badge; Cadettes earn their Good Sportsmanship badge; and Seniors earn their Cross-Training badge. Please note that badges will not be provided.

 

There will be a dinner break before the game starts. Girl Scouts and chaperones will be on their own, with plenty of off-site options in addition to concessions sold prior to and during the game. And then during halftime, you’ll be presented with a MedCity Mafia Roller Derby patch to commemorate your roller derby experience!

 

Event price includes activities, ticket to the bout, and MedCity Mafia Roller Derby patch (chaperone ticket does not include the patch, but they are available for purchase at our merchandise booth). Deadline for registration is April 20, and we’re limiting participation to 100 Girl Scouts, so reserve your spot now!
