Inspired after going to a roller derby bout, Sarah "PerfectaKills" McLain posted an ad on craigslist on August 20, 2011. It read: "Want to play roller derby? No experience necessary!"

What started as a small group of girls skating in parking lots quickly grew into the team we now know and love--the MedCity Mafia. In the fall of 2013, after years of hard work and training, the team grew so large it split into two teams under one league. The two teams of the MedCity Mafia are the DONnas of Destruction and the MobSisters.
